Taprobane Seafoods (Pvt) Ltd is established in Sri Lanka, going on to become a pioneer of Sri Lankan Vannamei shrimp and pasteurized blue crab meat.
Coco House established
Coco House (Pvt) Ltd joins the group, opening a purpose-built factory in Dankotuwa for virgin coconut oil and coconut by-products.

South Asia Foods LLC-FZ operates two Sri Lankan producers: Taprobane Seafoods and Coco House. Each runs independently, with its own factories, products and certifications.
Taprobane Seafoods (Pvt) Ltd
Taprobane Seafoods (Pvt) Ltd is Sri Lanka's leading and largest integrated seafood company, founded in 2011. It was built around a shared vision of producing seafood of impeccable freshness and quality, and is a pioneer of Sri Lankan Vannamei shrimp and Sri Lankan Blue Pasteurized Crab Meat.
The company controls its own supply chain: around 90% of the post-larvae used in its Vannamei shrimp farming comes from its own hatchery, and its crab is processed close to catch through mini plants in Jaffna before onward processing at its main plant in Dankotuwa. Taprobane Seafoods holds FSSC 22000 certification, one of the highest global food safety standards, covering its pasteurized crab meat, frozen crab, shrimp, squid, cuttlefish and tuna.
Coco House (Pvt) Ltd
Coco House (Pvt) Ltd was established in 2015 as a subsidiary of the group. The same year, it opened one of the best-equipped coconut processing factories in Sri Lanka — a US$3 million facility in Dankotuwa built for the manufacture of virgin coconut oil and related by-products.
Beyond coconut oil, Coco House produces organic coconut milk, coconut milk powder, coconut cream, coconut flour, coconut sugar, roasted coconut chips and organic king coconut water, alongside coco peat products for the horticulture market — all aimed at the global marketplace and produced to recognised food safety accreditations.
